Joel Preston Smith, known around here as a rigorous editor who helped us with two books: Special Plans: The blogs on Douglas Feith and the faulty intelligence that led to war, and Untidy: The blogs on Rumsfeld, has had his own book of photos and essays, Night of a Thousand Stars and Other Portraits of Iraq, nominated for an Oregon Book Award in the category of Creative Nonfiction.
Congratulations to Joel on his much-deserved nomination for this amazing book.
